Meet Dr. Thompson
Dr. Thompson earned his D.M.D. from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in 2000. Upon graduation he entered a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Long Beach, Ca. Dr. Thompson then completed his specialty training in endodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earning his specialty certificate in endodontics and a Masters of Science in Endodontics.
Dr. Thompson’s specialty training encompassed all aspects of endodontic therapy including treatment of complex root morphology, teeth that have had previous endodontic therapy, surgical intervention, dental traumatology and management of medically compromised patients. Dr. Thompson completed his thesis on odontoblastic (cells that line the periphery of a tooth) response to bacterial virulence factors via microarray analysis.
Dr. Thompson lives in North Austin with his wife and two children and enjoys triathlons, snowboarding and cycling.
